Shipping Policy

​At Titan Outboards, we specialize in the safe, secure delivery of marine engines. Because of the size and weight of outboard motors, we use specialized freight carriers to ensure your power arrives in perfect condition.

1. Delivery Methods

  • Small Motors (2.5HP - 15HP): Typically shipped via standard ground carriers (UPS/FedEx) in heavy-duty reinforced boxes.

  • Large Motors (20HP+): Shipped via LTL Freight on custom pallets/crates.

2. Inspection Requirement (The "Golden Rule")

  • IMPORTANT: You must inspect the crate for any signs of damage (punctures, crushed wood, leaks) BEFORE signing the delivery receipt.

  • ​If the unit is damaged, write "Refused due to damage" on the receipt and contact us immediately. Once you sign the receipt "clear," the carrier is no longer liable for damage.

3. Liftgate Service

  • ​Residential deliveries for large motors include Liftgate Service. The driver will lower the motor from the truck to the ground at your curb or driveway.

4. Shipping Timeline

  • ​In-stock motors typically ship within 2-4 business days. Transit time varies by location but generally takes 3-7 business days within the contiguous US

Warranty Information

​Titan Outboards is an authorized dealer, meaning every new motor we sell comes with a Full Factory Warranty backed by the manufacturer.

​1. Coverage by Brand

​Mercury Marine: Standard 3-Year Limited Warranty (Extended plans often available).

​Suzuki Marine: Standard 3-Year Limited Warranty (Ask about the Suzuki "Gimme Six" 6-year promotion).

​Other Brands: All motors carry the specific manufacturer's regional warranty.

​2. Where to Get Service

​Warranty work can be performed at any authorized service center in North America for the brand you purchased. You do not have to ship the motor back to Titan Outboards for warranty repairs.

​Simply provide your Serial Number to your local authorized mechanic.

​3. Owner Responsibilities

​To maintain your warranty, you must follow the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule (e.g., the "10-hour break-in" service and annual oil changes).

​Using non-approved parts or improper fuel/oil mixtures may void your coverage.

​The Titan "No-Stress" Return Policy

​At Titan Outboards, we’re boaters too. We know that sometimes plans change or a different motor size is needed. That’s why we offer one of the most flexible return policies in the marine industry.

​1. 20-Days "Change Your Mind" Window

​We give you a full 20 days (double the industry standard) to decide if you are happy with your purchase. If you need to return an unused motor, we are here to help.

​2. Easy Exchanges

​Ordered the 9.9HP but realized you need the 15HP? No problem! We will waive all restocking fees if you are exchanging your motor for another model in our inventory. We’ll even help you coordinate the swap to get you back on the water faster.

​3. Low Restocking Fees

​While most shops charge 20% or more, we keep our restocking fee at a flat 10% for unopened returns—just enough to cover our basic handling and inspection costs.

​4. Pre-Fueled/Pre-Oiled Motors

​We understand that sometimes you don't realize there's a problem until you're ready to go. While federal laws prevent us from taking back motors that have had fuel added via freight, Titan Outboards will work with you. If you have an issue with a fueled motor, we will:

​Fast-track your service at a local authorized dealer.

​Offer a trade-in credit toward a different unit if you aren't satisfied.

​5. Damaged on Arrival? We’ve Got You.

​If your motor arrives with even a scratch from the shipping process, don’t worry. Just let us know. We won’t make you jump through hoops with the shipping company—we will handle the claim ourselves and send you a replacement or a discount immediately.

​6. Fast Refunds

​We don’t believe in holding your money. Once your return arrives back at our shop, we trigger your refund within 48 hours.
